Events Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center invites everyone in the community to take part in events at the center. Events are free and open to the public. Volunteers are always welcomed to help plan and facilitate events. Up Coming Events Join a women's tea and conversation with Pastora Gutierrez from Oaxaca, Mexico. Thursday, September 25 2-3:30pm. Pastora is president of La Vida Nueva, a Zapotec women's weaving collective. This is a chance for local women to meet Pastora and exchange stories of life and work with her. Conversation will be in Spanish (without translation). Third Anniversary Celebration! Come help us to celebrate our third anniversary and to thank all our volunteers, donors, supporters and participants. Friday October 3, 5 - 8 pm and Saturday October 4, 10 am - 1pm. Series sponsored by Crossroads International every third Thursday each month, October through May. Free. Practice English while learning to quilt! Quilt Class 10am-12noon Thursday September 4 Thursday September 11 Thursday September 18 This quilting class is offered by a local quilting group for speakers of other languages. The class will include basic patchwork and quilting. Participants will finish a project. The class is free and materials are provided. Participants should have basic sewing experience.
